To use BankID, your business must first acquire a certificate and be approved by our partner bank, Swedbank.

Digital signatures
You can also use BankID for Digital signatures with Criipto.
BankID can:

With Criipto, all documents are signed according to the highest PAdES-LTA standard.

Is it possible to collect users' addresses with BankID?
In Sweden, Statens personadressregister (SPAR) provides the addresses of Swedish citizens. Adding address registry lookups in Sweden is on our roadmap. If this is something you’re interested in, please reach out to us.
Some businesses might have to collect users’ legal addresses to reduce fraud, provide a better user experience, or comply with KYC requirements.

Is it possible to verify users with BankID in telephone calls?
Yes.
Businesses that need to verify their customer over the phone can do so with BankID. Company representatives can trigger the authentication from their end and let the customer complete it on their phone.
This lets the customer prove their identity without having to share personal information or answer security questions over the phone. BankID is also safer, as it includes security questions during the authentication to warn people about scammers.
The process is also known as Caller authentication and is enabled through Client Initiated Backchannel Authentication (CIBA).
